METER READER I
Centennial
Water and Sanitation District is currently accepting applications
for a part-time Meter Reader position.
Applicants must have a strong desire to
work as a team player.
Work hours are 30 hours per week, Monday through
Friday.
This position involves working in an outdoor
environment and includes the following responsibilities:
- Walking meter routes while inputting reading
into a handheld computer
- Driving/walking radio-read routes while
operating an automated device
- Occasional manual reads of commercial meters
in pits
- Posting customer houses for non-payment of
water bills
- Disconnect and reconnect meters due to
non-payment of water bills.
- Assist in dealing with radio-read meter
malfunctions
- Special and other projects as assigned
Work will be based at the District
Office
Building;
however, the majority of time will be spent traversing routes across
Highlands Ranch by foot and by a District vehicle.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or
GED equivalent and a general knowledge of computers and electronic
data equipment.
Ability to lift 80 lb meter lids is
required.
A valid Colorado driver’s license and
an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record are required.

DIRECTOR OF WATER AND WASTEWATER OPERATIONS
Centennial Water and
Sanitation District (CWSD) is accepting applications for a full-time
Director of Water & Wastewater Operations.
CWSD primarily serves customers in
Highlands Ranch, with a current population of over 90,000 residents.
It includes a 40 mgd WTP, an 8.5 mgd
WWTP, surface water storage reservoirs, a raw water transmission
system, and a conjunctive use program that utilizes over 50
groundwater wells and extensive surface water sources.
This position requires
performing complex supervisory, administrative and professional work
in planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the Water &
Wastewater Operations Department, including environmental
permitting, water and wastewater system operations, maintenance
functions and capital project planning and implementation.
Successful applicant must
have graduated from a four-year college or university with a degree
in civil engineering, public administration or a closely related
field.
A minimum of six years of public works
experience with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment
including at least two years in management or an equivalent
combination of education and experience is required.
A valid Colorado driver’s license and a
certification as a Class-A water and wastewater treatment plant
operator are also required for this position
